Casey & The Base Notes began when Casey Lipton, after a ten year break from music, was asked by bass player Jeff "El Hefe" Dembski " Do you play guitar"? His reply was "I haven't picked up a guitar in over a decade". Casey sat down and started writing, composing, and singing blues, folk, and soul inspired music with a loaned guitar, a renewed passion, and desire to perform.
